AltTrack.com (“AltTrack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the AltTrack portfolio tracking service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. Please read this policy carefully. By using AltTrack, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you:

• Create an account (email address and password)
• Enter investment data (investment names, transaction amounts, dates, and related financial information)
• Invite portfolio viewers (their email addresses)
• Contact us for support

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use our service, including browser type, operating system, and usage patterns, to improve our service and diagnose technical issues.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the AltTrack service
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send service-related communications such as portfolio viewer invitations
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information or financial data to third parties. Ever.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a PostgreSQL database platform with row-level security. This means your investment data is isolated — no other user can access your portfolio information.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted data storage
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
• Row-level security policies ensuring data isolation

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Portfolio Viewer Access

If you invite someone to view your portfolio, they will have read-only access to your investment data. They cannot add, edit, or delete any information. You can revoke viewer access at any time from your Settings page. We will send an invitation email to the address you provide using our email service provider, Resend.

6. Third-Party Services

AltTrack uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions (stripe.com/privacy)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and investment data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and investment data within 30 days. Some information may be retained in backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your investment data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

9. Children's Privacy

AltTrack is intended for accredited investors and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will send an email notification to registered users. Your continued use of AltTrack after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
